Welcome to Philadelphia Baptist Church
Philadelphia Baptist Church is here to serve our community. The bible says that true religion is to minister to widows and orphans and to keep ourselves spotless before the world. We don't preach religion. We do preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified!
It is our goal to be here when we are needed. We are here in joy or sorrow. We are here in tragedy or triumph.
New Building
God is so good. Our new building is now paid for. A 6000 square feet facility is being used for classrooms, fellowship area and kitchen. We are so thankful for God's leadership in this endeavor.
God is Doing a Mighty Work
God is again at work! The church has called a new Youth Director. Mr. Jeff Blell has begun his ministry with our youth. We are excited about what God is doing. We invite you to come and see.
The church worship team, led by Music Director Mrs. Jamie Pruett, continually inspires us to worship and praise our Father God and His Son Jesus!
The Holy Spirit is doing a mighty work in the life of our church. You will have to join us in worship to experience the fulfillment of prayers that have been lifted up for many years. It is amazing to be a part of and see the Mighty Hand of God!
What We Believe
We are a praying, loving and caring church. We believe Jesus Christ is THE one and only Son of the Most High God. He was born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life although tempted in every way. He was crucified on the cross of calvary as a blood sacrifice for all sin past, present and future. He rose again on the third day and appeared to over 1500 people. He ascended into to Heaven to take His rightful place at the right hand of the Father where he is the High Priest of Heaven interceding for us on a constant basis.
He is THE ONLY WAY man can ever approach God.
Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord!
What Keeps Us Going
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through Faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast!
Galatians 6:6-10
6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
